Expressed finger joints

CNC routing allows the designer to customize traditional jointing techniques such as dovetailing and finger joints.

The above is achieved by creating a jig on the router bed similar to below:

This type of joint would generally only be used where it is highly visable i.e. on a table top or bookcase end
